The County of Surrey, more than probably any other County, often feels as though it has one foot in London and one in the country. Whilst its northernmost areas, inside the M25, are suburbs of the capital, its more southerly reaches, especially to the west, can offer pockets of real seclusion.

The County therefore, is extremely varied, though almost all of it offers extremely good rail connections into London Victoria or Waterloo, and easy access to Heathrow and Gatwick.

To the north of the County, Surrey is indistinguishable from London, and tranquillity can only be found in private, gated estates. Further out, the east of the County has flatter landscape and can suffer from the Gatwick flight-path, whilst the west boasts towns and villages of excellent quality. Some of the areas around Guildford and Farnham, in particular, have a truly rural atmosphere.

Surrey is also renowned for its golf courses, some of which – Sunningdale, Wentworth – are among the best in the world.

A Surrey property search would yield property as varied as; mansions with substantial grounds, to country cottages, from houses on private estates, to pleasant properties in commutable areas, and from Edwardian houses to newly-built family homes. Premier Property can help you with moving to Surrey or if you have yet to find a property in Surrey, doing so.

Property prices in Surrey reflect its proximity to London as well as the quality of the specific area, plot and building. Those who therefore require their Surrey home to have a true rural feel will pay a premium for the privilege.
