Thank you for your letter. I’ve been meaning to write because I’ve just spent my first week at Causeway Cottage and think it is just wonderful. Lynda left the cottage spic and span and I have another week of peace before the damp proof people tear it apart.
The whole experience of Tangley is great – the villagers are friendly and the cottage is very warm. I have also inherited a house-keeper and gardener – so it couldn’t be better.

Please find enclosed a cheque in settlement of your recently received invoice. Once again many thanks for all your help and forbearance through several twists and turns. We are naturally delighted to have exchanged and believe we have found a property in an ideal location for all our requirements, if a little close to the road!
We are currently turning our minds to initial plans; how to make our house into our ideal Hampshire home. That said we will only be able to enact these plans once we have sold London, which continues to be an issue! Despite all this uncertainty we remain both happy and excited over our Hampshire move and would like to thank you both for all your efforts.
